CNY 2009

It is another round of CNY, ushering in the year of the Ox. How time flies... Well, as always, a SOP is to visit my Ah Po's house first. But this year is the first year since her death. So, it wasn't exactly a celebration, meaning no ang baos... Aww... It's an undeniable fact that receiving ang baos is one of the highlight of the festive season =P It is a privilege for us singles. So yes, cam-whored alot, as always...

Such a "far-away" picture. Haha. Took it by one of our young cousin. But it manage to show what us, the beauties were wearing =P

My gor gor and Lynn, the cousin whom we are the closest to in the Ow family.

She's bubbly, nice and very, very humourous. Haha.

Our photographer, Amanda. She was trying on oversized shoes. Lol.

Can't believe that my gor was emplyoed as an air-steward with Malaysia Airlines. Hahaha. God's grace xP No lar, he's a charmer, just ask my future sister-in-law.

Aww... My favourite photo!! This is Sarah Grace (Wahah, great women with the great name). She's the newest addition to the family, and the youngest of course. So, so, SO adorable. Just want to squeeze her cheeks. You are looking at a future gambling queen. Tsk tsk tsk =P

Finally, after many, many, many years, the Choo family has pt aside the family feud, and we met up. They are my Grandaunts and Granduncle; and the two young men on the left are apparently my Uncles o.O I know what you must be thinking... Uber young Uncles xD

Another of my Granduncle and Grandaunt; and yes, the one on the left is Uncle Kevin. Haha. He's got to be my favourite Uncle so far. He's really eloquent, witty, intelligent and funny. He'll be getting married in Jan 2010, yay, more weddings to attend to xD

Grandaunt Christina

Grandaunt Carol

Huat ah!! (Hahaha, learnt it from Sammy and Josh. Lol) I've got to comment, it was the best Yushen I've had so far. Of course, it is rather pricy, as it is from Sakae Sushi. But, it totally is worth the amount we paid for. Very, very yummy!

Steamboat ^^ Josh... I left the cover at your place =

Another wonderful thing this CNY was that we got to see the photos of my maternal Great-grandparents. This is my Great-grandfather. Good-looking (:

My Great-grandma... She was so beautiful...
Thiswas an electrical appliances shop which he owned.
Him along with all my Granduncles and aunts. My Grandma is the one at the top left. A pretty young lady (:

I really need to update my blog. Read my fellow bloggers and found out all of them have updated. Well, many many things to talk about... Yet, don't know where to start. So it's the Lunar New Year! Been out visiting relatives... and eating ALOT. Oh no... Eating too much >< I keep feeling the urge to have a healthier lifestlye. I seriously need to add more fruits and veges in my diet, and stick to an exercise regime. My stamina is... o.O Not good. Anyways, will visit my Grandaunt and Granduncles tomorrow, since YEARS! I think I was about nine or ten when they last saw me. So, am looking forward to it (: Though it will mean more food! Control Sarah, control. Will upload the many photos I took and talk more about my CNY and other stuff ((=

Had dinner with Qianyu, Maple's friend who came for the MyHope Christmas party, along with Sharon, aftrwhich Rouxin joined us after her driving lesson. It was a fun girls' night out. Qianyu's really nice and funny; plus she is open ((: Really glad that she could make it and hope to get to know her more (:

We had Korean food at Food Republic at Wisma *yummy* Especially the spicy beef soup.

Presenting, Qianyu!
Yay! Was so happy to see Rouxin after her trip to Korea. She shared with us so much about the trip. Sounds so fun! I soo wanna go there next year. Aww... she gave me a book by Dr. Cho. It's entitled "Praying with Jesus". My jaw dropped when I flipped through it; it is about the Lord's Prayer, and every chapter is one segment of the prayer! So simple yet awesome! I'm sure I'll learn alot from it, and it'll be a mind-blowing reading. After that, Rou talked to me and asked me to give BS. O.o Whoah. I did not expect that, because I am only at Victorious Living. But she thinks that I'm able to give GS to Mel. But she wants me to give her a class first. Wow. God's really giving me so much opportunity to serve and disciple through Rouxin. I also shared with her the vision I had last week, and she was really supportive. She actually said that she felt goosebumps while I was sharing. She's really happy for me and encouraged me that she will support me all the way, as well as want to disciple me more to step out in cgms. *take a breather* God, I am ready. 2009 is ALL for you.

Chilled at Starbucks at Paragon.

Muaha. Rou's so evil. She kept commenting that Sharon's fringe was too short. Hahah. Poor girl :p

I'm evil too =P

Crazy-random shot. Lol.
It was a great service today. Pastor's Tan's sermon was as always, insightly and impactful. I must say, this afternoon's pre-service prayer meeting was the best I've ever attended. The presence of God was extremely strong. I was very happy for Mel that she responded to Pastor Tan's alter call to pray for the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I dashed towards her and went up with her after encouraging her. Furthermore, I feel touched that she is using the notebook I gave her to jot down sermon notes. Thank God, thank God!! Use me even further Lord. Mike, Angela's friend, reponded too!! Praise God! =D I'm really happy that he worships with his heart more; I can see that he felt God's presence and love. So wonderful! After dinner with 480, went to JP, and Rou was excited at its amazing transformation. Lol. So funny. She went, "There's Mphosis!!" Hahaha. We then shopped for awhile. Rouxin persuaded me to try on this red tube top. And man, I've got to agree with her, I look good in it! =P It fits me so so well, and its cutting is flaterring. Argh. Felt so tempted to get it! But, building fund ><>

Aiyo, Dor can never smile properly, since EVER. No idea why; she has no clue either xD

Wooohooo... Apple crumble.. Can you see the caramel sizzling. Man, it was gooood.

Dor's best friend. Wahahaha. I felt uber stuffed after that. Not to mention guilty. So much for aiming for my dream weight this year. xP

So yes, we were at the Nanyang Arts Festival for awhile to show our support, not just in spirit, but physical support to Chris for her performance! Boohoo, we missed it ): But, we saw the video and they did well *applause* Encore, encore! Haha. The people of Dancefuzion are really nice and friendly. Though I only met them for the fourth time (wow, four times already), I feel like I've known them longer than that; had a good time of bonding, laughter and lots, lots, LOTS of fun over dinner and games (though we are tertiary students, humph, who cares :p) Watching them dance, I feel tempted to cross over to the mass culture of hip-hop. Muaha. But, good news, I'm returning to my Contemporary Dance classes real soon (: I miss dance alot... Hope that I can crash into Dancefuzion classes as well =P Must get into Willy's, their dance captain, good books. Muaha. We are fellow ballet dancers as well... Hehe.

Pictures time!

Still getting use to Chris's bangs. Wahah.

I've got to say, I was impressed by Chris's dance skills! Keep it up my dear (: Continue to work on it =D Proud of you ^^

Blurry picture >.<

Got a Pucca chocolate offered by Chris (the dude xD this gets confusing). Muahahaha, Josh couldn't eat cos of his sore throat. Tempting him *evil grin*

Classic Christina xD

Whooh, looking modely. Work it girl *snap snap snap* Lol.

Presenting a new friend, Kingsley (the thumbdrive =P Forgive me, another inside joke). This was such a random moment between the two that I just HAD to catch it on camera!

This is one of the tall pillars which I was talking, or rather typing about, in the place which felt like a historial site of Greek colosseum. Haha. It was a nice place for us to make lots of noise, and it was very windy. It felt cooling on my skin, but yeah, my hair was a mess :p I can't describe how much we laughed, and the number of jokes all of us made. I can't forget the one with doing the wahooo with the air-con shutters XD XD XD I know, you must be thinking like, what..? o.O

The past weekend was great :) I finally have the time at the office to blog :P Had an amazing service with Rev. John Bevere; his sermon blew me away so much so that I told Chris I was on the verge of manifestation XD XD His sermon really made me think about how important are our decisions here on earth; how important it is to follow God's calling; most importantly, the utmost importance of seeking God earnestly. Wow. And I now shall repent... I feel extremely guilty that for the past two weeks, my communication with my Heavenly Father has not been in-depth nor spent fruitful time with Him... I need to return to the secret place and just talk to Him more and soak myself in His presence. Another amazing thing which happened during service was the vision that I had during worship. It again, caught me off guard and still leave me wondering whether is it real, will it come to pass? It all boils down to faith. Whatever happens, God, if it's my calling, just go ahead and use me to be greater for You and Your people. No resistance or doubt; I am a vessel for You.

Well, as always, took LOTS of pictures during fellowship and another event which highlighted my weekend.

Guess what, Hui Mei has this hairstyle too! Wahaha... CHC's current flow - bangs xD

Cam-whoring with my new camera phone.

Bakerzin's Warm Chocolate Cake. This. Is. Simply. Divine. And. Too. Pretty. To. Be. Eaten. It is soo pretty isn't it and awesomely chocolaty. Though it's too pretty, we dugged in anyway. Especially Josh... He made the cake sunk... *grr* We had fun at Bakerzin chilling and chatting (nonsense mostly). The highlight was when everyone had to share 10 qualities/attributes they look for in their husband/wife-to-be in the future. And I just scrapped through. Haha. I mean, I did up a list years ago, but forgotten about it. Besides, I have changed, so have my spiritual level, thus what I look for in my life partner changed too. Well, I officially did up a list and there were 12 points. Haha. Extra two points =P So yes, visualise Sarah, visualise. God, I trust that You are my ultimate matchmaker *nod* Faith, faith...

Though Flora can be slightly too wild and over-the-top sometimes, but she is by far one of THE funniest person. She can honestly say the funniest thing and totally ignite my laughter.

Another fellow bang-er (O.o) Lol. Our pioneer, by-two xD

Playing around with the food, despite being at Bakerzin xD

An uber CLASSIC photo of Chris XD XD XD Those are some freakish-ly looking mushrooms, if you are wondering. You may be thinking, where on earth did we get this mushroom thingy, we were shopping at FairPrice Xtra at JP, grocery shopping for the ingredients for our streamboat dinner the next day, at 10pm!! That was a first night shopping experience for me. So fun =D But Chris, Tong, Josh and I were extremely tired after that. Especially Tong ): Busy girl with all her school workload ):

Woohoo, my first media pass =D First of many to come *Amen* Yeah, though I had to work on a Sunday, it was a good learning experience for me at a PR event, and good exposure as well. Not to mention, I received double amount of pay =P *hallelujah*
After work, rushed down to Josh's place and prep the food for W331's steamboat feast. Yay! This was the highlight of my week and something that I really looked forward to; especially looked forward to finally seeing Elyn since her wedding. She went to Japan with Shaun for their honeymoon. So nice (: Oh man, Mrs. Tay o.o Being married is something that really can't be taught, but must be caught (Chris, remember our inside joke? I just can't get this joke out of my head. Uber funny!). But yeah, wonder how is it like being a married woman. Anyways, when she entered the house, I immediately screamed, ran out from the kitchen and gave her a big, warm hug though my hands were a little soapy :p No worries, I did not get any soap on her clothes. The dinner was great and fun of course. We laughed nearly every minute. And I must comment, Elyn has gotten wittier and funnier.

Guess what, Chris joined our evil forces of the 'bangs'. By-four!! >.<
We posed according to chronological order on getting the haircut. 1. Elyn 2. Sitong 3. Me 4. Chris [gasp]

... And the brothers. Sam's bigger muscles were somehow one of our dinner topic; Josh is soo him in this photo. Lol. And yay, saw Nat again! I was shocked when I saw him at the coffeeshop on Saturday. He looks more mature! Aww... Little brother has grown ><
=D =D

Flex those biceps xD

It is always fun to meet up with W331 (: Well, now that Rouxin is back, time to have more fun with W480. We plan to go to MINDS cafe this Sunday after cgm. Guess who suggested that xD Oh, yesterday I had fun too. Josh and I headed down to NTU to support Chris's performance with Dancefuzion (or is it Danzefusion o.O *confused*). But darn it, we missed it just by minutes ): Shucks. But glad that they all had fun and performed well ((= We then had dinner together, and they are such fun people! Me like XP And I found a partner-in-crime, Felicia. Muahaha. Nice to meet new people (: Oh oh, it was hilarious when we found out where they were heading for dinner...... Second Best coffeeshop!! Oh my goodness!!! Hahahahaha.. That was funny and made me laughed ultra hard. After dinner hanged out further and went to this circular place near Chris's house, (not Christina, but Chris, a male) which looked like a historical site, and played games. As in all those fun games we played in camps in our secondary/JC/Poly schooldays. It was a great time to break the ice and another opportunity to laugh. Waha. Will upload the photos tonight and talk more about it ((:

Time to update... Had quite a few fun outings with my lovely people for the past couple of weeks. Firstly was the outing with W331 on New Year Eve at New York New York. Can't wait for our steamboat dinner at Josh's place this Sunday =D

Cheers to the new year... with candy floss ! Yum..

Last Saturday night, Chris and I went to Gloria Jeans at Raffle City for dessert. We repent that we did not fellowship with the rest...

Lovely cheesecake (:

Chris with her Mocha Chocolate n Cream. It was good!

Gloria Jeans Signature Iced Chocolate
Met up with a few W480-ians to have lunch last Sunday before Rouxin goes off to Korea. Aw, miss her already.. Shucks, we did not take a photo ): But, we had fun chilling. Supposed to watch a movie but there weren't any good ones. We just walked around Plaza Singapura, and at my suggestion went to Starbucks at Suntec City. The sun was so scorching that day and shone through the windows at the cafe. Usually I like the sun, but it was overly sunny. Haha. Then later had dinner at Thai Express with Josh since he was in town. I loved the Tom Yum Soup and my Thai Laksa; they were really "spicily" awesome *shiok* It was a good two hours of talking and sharing. Am glad that he opened up to me and shared his concerns with me. Josh, continue to hang in there (:
Ana's finally back from India *applause* Aww.. Missed her. But glad that she had fun there and she showed me photos of the temples. Man, they were really beautiful; very majestic in size and design, with all the carvings. Some were over 2000 years old. So nice... I so wanna go to India >< I love to visit historical sites and stuff (: Yesterday, met up with her and hanged out =D
Alright, no offence to Ana's photography skills =P It's pretty blur though. Heh. This was taken at Billy Bombers. Where we initially wanted to have dinner at. But being in an indecisive mood and with its limited choices, we just ordered an appetizer, a red skin potato salad. It was nice but too filling.

She looks so so funny here xD

Anyways, we then decided to go to Kenny Rogers. I LOVE their side dishes. Here's the very comforting corn muffin.

Quarter-chicken. Though it looks a little odd in this photo.

My favourite Macoroni and Cheese... Ultimate comfort food.

More food... Garden Pasta Salad.

Okay, not a very well-taken photo. We took this hastily as to avoid any embarrasment in the train.

Awwwww... She bought me real pretty earrings from India. I love them Ana! ^^

Especially this one!! So, she told me to take some pictures as she want to see me in them... Haha.. Lo and behold, I did.

This was tricky to wear. Ana dear, how do I wear it =S I can't stick it in... The sharp ends are too small. Lol. Help??!

Satisfied Ana? Ahaha.. I simply love this one! Yay, an addition to my jewellery box ((=

Oh oh, presenting my colleagues of Comms and PR department of SAFRA (: They are nice. We took this during our small Christmas celebration. Yeah, this was the day when I looked quite sloppy >.<

Hmm.. What else... Well, work has been hectic. Lots to do, especially on Monday with the meeting and heading down to SAFRA Yishun. Plus, my boss asked me to replicate three complicatingly looking charts. At first I thought I could handle them, but once I took a closer look, me, an IT-bimbo, had no clue how to do it. Thank God for helpful Sam, who is extremely IT-savvy. He helped me to replicate with Photoshop. Man, they turned out so so so so so well done! They looked as if they were photocopies of the original ones. Oh, I did not go to work today... Not feeling well ): My body caved in to fatigue I think. It was a good day of rest. I got lots of sleep and rest, so yes, recharged to face another day tomorrow, then it's the weekend! *cheer* But, I may have to work this Sunday at an event. Need to confirm with my supervisors soon. Oh yes, I stand in agreement with many people out there; Twilight is a good book. Am enjoying it. It is definitely a page-turner. Oh, before I forget, Seven Pounds... Two thumbs way up!!! It's a really, really, really good movie. Will Smith has outdone himself. At first my brother and I were getting restless as the first hour, the plot's development was pretty slow and we had no clue what exactly was the plot. But, the later half, it was beautiful!! I can't emphasise what a good movie it is! I love its poetic, beautifully-dark ending. But, am still trying to figure out, why "Seven Pounds"? I don't get the meaning behind the title =\
